Bidding has ended 43 Contractors were notified and 3 responded with bids. Due not quote me I did not have a pen handy. The lowest bid was 201000 and the highest was 261000. My understanding is the dnr are happy they came in so low they were expecting much higher bids. The dnr did not know why it was not on there website that bidding had begun. They were looking into that. Now we wait for final approval which will be soon. A new era has begun for Lizard Lake it was a hard fought battle for people for and against shallow lake management.

Now that bidding has ended on Lizard Lake, I think another public meeting should be held to discuss the plans that have been developed by DU. I have a recording of the last meeting that says what items were being planned for Lizard Lake. When all is done I hope that all the items that were planned for Lizard Lake at the public meeting are included into these plans. I would not like to see the publics reaction if they were misled. I still do not support Shallow Lake Management, but if the plans that were mentioned at the meeting are put into place, their is a small hope for Lizard Lake.
