We spotted these two Trumpeter Swans landing on the lake on Memorial Day. They spent the day feeding and then flew off in the evening. They were both banded. I sent a photo and band info to the DNR swan restoration division. ![]() www.lizardlake.net/images/swans 2.JPG[/img] |

Received reply from Iowa DNR swan restoration program. Both swans are females. One hatched in 2006 in Palmer,IA and released at Little Storm Lake, IA. The other was hatched 2007 in Ames,IA and released at Chuck Lenze wetlands in Granger,IA.
